Animation is an important design element in user experience. So in mobile, transitions in interface or page can be subtly animated. Scroll a page, fill a form, image surfing- are all moments of varying transitions. Therefore animating a transition is always a good design choice to reinforce user-interaction.

              Here are few ways animations can help argument user interaction and engagement.

Basic visual response

    An animated response as feedback for a user action should make it clear about the user request status, received or working on it helps the user interact with the system in a clear way. So here are a few cases of a system animated feedback.

           Confirm user action: User gets a visual acknowledgment that the system has received the request. When a feedback is ensured a user does not repeat the same action.

         Updating content: A visual feedback in the form of refreshing indicator helps us understand that the system is working on the request.

        Content loading indicator: A little long and boring process of content loading is a cumbersome process but adding a visual indicator using subtle animation keeps the user glued to the indicator instead of a frantic refresh. And it can be integrated in any page.

        A few years back there was not enough processing power on mass mobile devices to process animation on websites and apps also there were few mobile devices visiting websites back then. But today as mobile-first thinking taking hold designers are implementing animation as a basic design element to enhance user experience and make it more interactive.
